CSC was well represented at Texas Youth Race Week. Chris McGee won the Sunfish fleet and also received the Sportsmanship Award for the Laser/Sunfish/420 course. Gavin Rudolph placed 2nd in the Laser Full Rig fleet. Stewart Draheim and Masie Comen sailing in the Opti Red White and Blue fleets while Aaron Comen and Sam Gladden sailed Opti Green. Results

Stewart, Masie and Aaron then moved on to the Opti Nationals in Sarasota, Florida. Masie sailed the Opti Girls Nationals on Monday, placing 72nd out of 94 boats. Stewart and Masie then sailed in the Red White and Blue fleets with 279 boats. The sailors were split into 6 divisions. Each race had 3 starts with 2 divisions per start, so there were only(!) 93 or 94 boats in each start. Aaron sailed the Green fleet with 65 boats. The level of competition was incredible, the learning curve of sailing against that many boats and dealing with waves and current was steep, but everyone sailed well, learned a lot, and had fun.
