Adult Sailing Classes for 2020 are open for Registration - WE ARE CURRENTLY HOPING TO HOLD THESE LESSONS, BUT AWAITING PERMISSION FROM THE CITY OF DALLAS:
The Corinthian Sailing Club is an all-volunteer club, and all boats are privately owned. Therefore, we are not in a position to offer sailing classes to the general public. However, each spring, we offer adult “learn to sail” courses for regular or associate club members*. The course costs $50, and includes the Learn to Sail textbook. Training is typically in Flying Scots, Corinthians, and Snipes.
Points to be covered include seamanship, leaving the pier, sailing upwind and on other points of sail, tacking, jibing, returning to pier, rules of the road and basic knots. The sessions will be on the water as long as the weather cooperates.
For 2020, due to safety concerns surrounding Covid-19, we are changing the way we conduct classes. Typically we have one instructor for three to four students per boat and hold six lessons. However, in order to allow for social distancing there will be one student and one instructor per boat and hold three lessons per session.
Session 1 be held on June 2, 4, and 9 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the docks near the clubhouse with the 11th as a possible makeup-day for bad Register here.
Session 2 be held on June 16, 18, and 23 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm on the docks near the clubhouse with the 30th as a possible makeup-day for bad weather. Register here.

In the event we are unable to hold these classes, we will issue full refunds.

Women On the Water

All CSC want-to-be and current women sailors are welcome to learn more about a program that will help you meet other women in the club and become more comfortable sailing boats.
With the current COVID-19 situation, we’ll continue to monitor and assess the start of in-person meetings as dates draw near. We’ll send more information out via our e-mail list.
