Plans are moving forward on repairs to the Club House

material, installing new weather friendly sill @ all windows and installing
an interlocking system as a decking above the south and west exposures

the usability of the areas. Great care has been taken to be sure that
an appropriate contractor can handle the task in the time frame necessary
for the usual operations of the club. Please contact a member of the
committee for further details or questions. As this project becomes

          MEMBER SERVICE REQUIREMENT REMINDER
At the CSC Annual Business Meeting held on January 15th,
2004 at Royal Oaks Country Club, a By-Laws addition was approved that
encourages involvement by all club members in club activities. As an
all volunteer organization, without any paid staff, we depend entirely
on our membership to keep the club afloat and functioning. The By-Laws
change defines a minimum service requirement that has been set at 8
hours for 2004 and applies to each regular and associate membership.
This requirement may be fulfilled by the member, or the member's spouse
          or dependents.
To assist the membership in fulfilling this requirement,
projects, such as helping with Spruce-Up Day, special club regattas
or social events, cleanup or special construction tasks, will be identified
in our club newsletter, The Mainsheet. In addition, a new Help Wanted
forum will be added to our website where requests for assistance may
          be posted.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE LAKE

The White Rock Lake Museums grand opening was Saturday,
September 18, 2004. The museum is located inside the Bath House Cultural
Center. Visitors can tour the museum, learn about the human and natural
history of the lake and park, and view the documentary-style video and
artwork by White Rock Lake area artists. For The Love Of The Lake is
the underwriter for the White Rock Lake Museum.

The Second Saturday Shoreline Spruce-up is on going! Thousands
of volunteers have been helping to keep White Rock Lakes shoreline,
park, and lake clean for more than100 consecutive months. The Corinthian
Sailing Club is one of 44 groups who have adopted a portion of the shoreline
and park to reduce the litter and make White Rock Lake safe and enjoyable
          for everyone.

        FLEET NEWS

The Corinthian Fleet in conjunction with the KMD association
has been surveying moorings including condition and length in preparation
of a long awaited realignment. This is to better facilitate ability
to sail on/off moorings. And provide consideration for sailing in and
out of the north canal between davits, piers.
All interested parties are urged to contact Corinthian
Fleet Captain, Bob Manning or KMD association representative Warren
Lyon. Also the Corinthian Fleet has just hosted its first regatta of
the season. The Captains Challenge was held Saturday April 16, Conditions
were light and variable (we all know how much fun that is) for the first
race, and wind filled in to 4-8 out of the east/ southeast for the second
and third races. 7 Boats made the event, Dave Barrett took top honors,
Ken Brown and Warren Lyon finished second and Bill Wilson and Alane
Capen (1 point back) took third. In an unusual Corinthian style two
boats were OCS at the start for the second race.
