Richard Wade wins the tie breaker to win the Wurstfest Regatta and take home his 24th beer stein. Complete results. Gavin Rudolph finished fourth overall in the Laser Full Rig fleet. Masie and Aaron Comen, and Sam Gladen finished 5th, 6th, and 7th in the Opti fleet. Novermber 4-5, 2006

Kelly Gough and Barbara Rudolph are winners in Flying Scot Open House Regatta. There was a record 47 boats competing. See complete results. October 21-22, 2006

The Flying Scot North American Championships were hit by a tornado on July 11 after the last race of the qualifying series. No one was hurt, but many boats were damaged. The NACs have been canceled. CSC sailors Scott Mauney and Bill Drahiem were sailing in the regatta. The following are some links that will provide additional information. July 12, 2006

Kelly Gough wins the Flying Scot Districts at OCBC. May 20-21, 2006

The Special Olympics Area 10 Regatta was held Wednesday, May 17 th at CSC. There were 11 athletes competing on six Flying Scots. The results were:

Division I
1 st : Pat Manicchia, Jeff Traub , Bibliana Monroy
2 nd : George Szaboky , Anthony Pacheco
3 rd : John Diggins , Alice Taylor, Danny Williams

Division 2
1 st : Roland Foerster , Chris McGee, Jessie Molina
2 nd : Steve Comen , Myles Barman, Whitney Lasiter
3 rd : Anderson Jones , Stephanie Otts , Megan Kelley


Six CSC Juniors competed in the Grapevine Sailing Club Spring Silly String Regatta on May 6-7. Congratulations to Gavin Rudolph, winner of the Laser Radial fleet. Brittany Widzer also placed fourth in the Laser Radial. Stewart Draheim , Masie Comen , Will Pierce, and Aaron Comen all competed in the Opti Red White and Blue Fleet. Stewart was 3 rd in the Blue fleet and 5 th overall; Masie was 3 rd in the Red fleet and 7 th overall. Detailed results are on the Grapevine Junior Sailing website
