2005 Race Results
The following awards were presented November 11, 2005
at the CSC Annual Banquet in addition to fleet awards, Jennifer
Judkins was awarded the Carol
Gough Memorial Award and Gina and Bill Wilson were awarded
the William
William F. Leonard Memorial Trophy.
Richard Wade received the Maurice
Martin Trophy as the CSC Champion. Lauri Block, Pat Diggins
and Kathy Harrington were presented special appreciation plaques.
The following awards were presented to junior
racers:
Laser Newcomer of the Year: Gavin Rudolf
Laser Sailor of the Year: Paul Denison
Sunfish Sailor of the Year: Chris McGee
Optimist Newcomer of the Year: Justin Burrous
Optimist Co-Sailors of the Year: Stewart Draheim and Masie Comen
Paul Denison won the TSA Friendship Trophy
CSC sailors and juniors do well at Wurstfest

Old Man of the Sea - Forth Worth This was record turnout
for CSC at a junior regatta - 8 Optis, 1 Sunfish, and 3 Lasers!

Flying Scot North American Championship Regatta -
In extremely close racing, three teams tied in the Championship
Division. Based on tie breaking rules, Bill Draheim, Stewart Draheim,
and Scott Mauney took second place, while Kelly and Heidi Gough
were third. In similarly tight racing in the Challenger Division,
Paul Labute and Jim Hockert won by a single point defeating Susan

Youth Race Week on Galveston Bay, July 18 - 22
Bruce Faust placed 8th overall
in the Butterfly Open National Championship and Gary Eppink ranking

Paul Denison qualified to represent
Area F and CSC in the U.S. Junior Single-handed Championship for
the D. Verner Smythe Trophy scheduled for August 8-9 at Newport
Harbor Yacht Club in Newport Beach, CA. He finished second in the
Area F Qualifier at Houston Yacht Club on July 9-10. See photos.
